SCHUBERT SHIELD 2009
Finally after 5 years, our two Clubs were able to get it together to stage this long term tradition. Not since 2004 when Cheltenham Club won the Shield for the fourth consecutive year have we played.
The additional good news for Beecroft LTC was that we were able to win the contest by 3 matches to 2 with the final result only being decided as the sun settling in the west.
After all matches were completed, the majority of participants gathered back at Beecroft for drinks and food before the Presidents of the respective clubs gave their thanks to everyone that participated and a special thanks to those that made the day a success. The last official duty was for John Schubert to present the Schubert Shield to the winning Beecroft Club. More photos are located under the Photos tab above.
