Next was a Special Singles 'Plate' event where first round losers had a second chance. Contesting the final were John Morgan and Jon Keeble and after a titanic struggle, JM got across the line in 3 entertaining sets 7/6, 3/6, 9/7. Now it was the Ladies turn to decide the Open Doubles event and victorious for the second day in a row was Leila Doyle with her partner Julai Cohen and they defeated the two Vals of Cooper and Pike 6/2, 6/2. Last match of the day was the Open Mens Doubles and another gruelling 3 set match. After a long battle, Geoff Childs and Mark Samuels defeated Phil Lean and Ken Harrison 6/4, 3/6, 8/6.
